19 teams representing 14 ISU members competed in this Championships. The third edition of these ISU World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships up till now, It used to be a biennal event, but will become annual from now on. Some very unfortunate falls in the program of team Russia I, colored the overall outcome a little, never the less... with a beautiful performance, Team Junost came in first, with some distance followed by Fintastic (Finland I) and on third, title defending Musketeers.

Lumière Cup 2017 First Synchro Competition in the Netherlands
This weekend the city of Eindhoven hosted the first and only International Synchronized Skating Competition in the Netherlands. Although not yet under auspices of the ISU they are surely well on their way of becoming an ISU competition. Organizing an event like this takes a lot of courage, discipline and stamina and of course money. For this first event Mrs. Ellie van Soest and her O.C. deserve a big compliment for the way things were organized. My guess... Everybody will be back next year :-)
