SYNCHRO NICE 87 If you’ve ever been to a competition where she and one of her teams performed, you will remember her, if not for her appearance, wearing this huge bunch of blond hair, that will draw your attention at first sight, it will be because of her militaristic disciplined skaters who are doing England proud when on International tour Many times, after competition ceremony, all teams like to have some extra pictures taken, just for their scrapbook. As a photographer, you wait for everybody to be in position and then there are always a few that will want to swap places…. Not Esther’s teams, just one sound from her lips and everybody’s in the perfect setting within seconds, all smiling towards my camera… remarkable! Who is Esther? Esther is a woman who grew up in Nottingham along with her family, that’s my mum, dad and 3 brothers. Family is incredibly important to me and it is them that have supported me throughout my whole skating carrier. You only get one family in life and it’s a value I strongly hold close to my heart. But very recently married we saw, congratulations on that. Yesss.. I have had a very exciting 2017 marrying the biggest love of my life Liam last July. We had the most perfect wedding day at an idyllic and typically English country setting in Nottinghamshire. So, now I share my lovely home with my husband Liam and my princess pug Dolly who is truly my baby. Hmmmm Talking about babies… Yeah, yeah all right, I better block you from Facebook hahaha. Yes, I am soon to embark on my next exciting adventure. I am expec- ting my first baby in July which will be a year since my wedding which is truly special. I may well have an ice Prince or princess who will follow on in my footsteps one day - who knows :) I am really happy that it is a July baby as it means I can be back on the ice with my teams working hard on the 2018/19 season :) !! It wasn't planned that way…. Honestly! I have however already been told I have lots of my skaters and parents ready and waiting in the wings to be babysitters for me!! The baby will certainly have lots of synchro sisters!! Any other activities you like to engage in your spare time? My hobbies of course are a love for shopping for nice things, although my focus has shifted recently from buying things for myself (like a nice handbag) to things for my home. When did I suddenly grow up?! I do however have a penchant for shoes, but not what you would think...I absolute- ly love and ammost comfortable in flip flops. I am sure I possess a pair in every colour and ranging from plain to bling’d with diamantes (guess that’s still the skater in me!). COACH OF ICICLES & SHADOWS Esther Morris
