SynchroNice / Third Edition / 2018

Being a member of the Swedish National team in Synchronized skating “Team Surprise” she, of course, was eager to do an interview with us, so please, can you introduce yourself? Certainly, thank you. My name is Nathalie Lindqvist and I’m 26 years old. And what’s there to know about your life next to the skating part? Well, besides all my skating I work at Nor- dea Life & Pensions as an Insurance Specialist and I live together with my partner and the love of my life, Ludwig. Hmmm Sweden, the country where babies are born with little skates on their feet? Hahaha, I surely was quite young and started skating when I was 3 years old. In Synchro? No, but Synchronized skating has always been a serious discipline at my home club, The “Landvetter Figure Skating” Club. So, when I was 8 years old, I started in synchro and joined a novice team called “Team Bluebird” and continued skating with them until I turned 16, which is the age limit for novice. So, you decided to quit skating? No certainly not, next to all the Synchronized skating, I always kept skating as a single/ solo skater. So, when I got too old for Team Bluebird I just decided to focus on single skating for a couple of years. However, in 2010 I joined Team Surprise and Since Sweden will be hosting the World Synchronized Skating Championship 2018, they definitely deserve some extra attention if not only for all the good Sweden is contributing to our amazing sport. One of their beautiful and very talented skaters was in addition elected last year as your representative within the “ISU Athletes Commission” and therefore we, of course had to have her in this issue of SynchroNice.
