SynchroNice / Fourth Edition / 2019
Some very nice dinners with our friends and maybe even more drinks made the weekend just perfect. After 3.5 days of Finland there’s not 1 single thing to criticize, or maybe just this one thing…My friend Tero and me ate a Hot-Dog at the Ice-rink, but they turned out to be cold-dogs ;-) Novices (Day 1) Team Points 1. Starlights 64.80 2. Finettes 60.62 3. Valley Bay Synchronics 56.26 Novices (Day 2) Team Points 1. Team Dynamique 64.05 2. Diamond Edges 61.21 3. Aurora Borealis 59.80 Juniors Team Points 1. Dream Edges 182.05 2. Team Fintastic 170.43 3. Valley Bay Synchro 163.79 Seniors Team Points 1. Marigold IceUnity 210.68 2. Team Unique 210.20 3. Helsinki Rockettes 201.33 Of course, on the 1st day we went to this beautiful Ice rink ‘Tampereen Jäähalli Hakametsä’, to see and shoot the 1st practice early in the morning. Miss Jutta Rouru from the organizing commit tee welcomed us and showed us our spots. I was impressed by the perfect way things were arranged and saw that even during practice passionate fans were already screaming their heads off to support their favorite teams. Only 10 o’ clock in the morning and the tension and the importance of this compe tition was already obvious to me. The next 2 days I was treated to some high-quality Synchronized Skating. Novices, Juniors, Seniors, many teams and all with the same attitude: Com petitive, Good Sportsmanship, Creative, fanatic, but all with a lot of fun and laughter, a real joy to watch. No wonder they do so well at Worlds year after year, what an incredible load of talent I’ve seen over the weekend. Every Synchro fan should visit Fin land and one of their Synchro competitions at least once in their life, it’s a beautiful experience. THIS 2ND QUALIFIER ENDED LIKE THIS: SYNCHRO NICE 33
