SYNCHRO NICE Well-chosen in the middle of December, the Dutch scheduled their new competition called the Lumière Cup. In December 2018, Synchrophoto captured what was already the 3rd version of this extremely well-organized Synchronized skating competition. Have you heard? There’s a new kid in town. Lumière Cup The previous 2 were so called non-ISU competitions, but as of 2018, the Lumière Cup is officially an ISU Synchro Com­ petition. Synchrophoto would like to congratulate Chair of the event Mrs. Ellie van Soest, with this great achievement. We have all visited Synchro competitions somewhere in the world and therefore everybody has learned one way or the other that it is not easy to organize a per­ fect event. There’s always something to complain about, the schedule, the venue, the food, the hotel transportation… you name it. Not here at the Lumière Cup in Eindhoven in the Netherlands because they have also visited many competi­ tions but payed very good attention for a few years to learn what’s right or maybe not so right.
