Marigold IceUnity beat Paradise by just a little over a point, so they are really close. Team Unique and the Helsinki Rockettes have to step it up a little in order to be competitive with Gold and Silver, since there’s a 7-10 point gap. Tatarstan and Crystal Ice from Russia and the Finnish Lumineers com­ pleted the competition with vibrant and beautiful programs. All in all, a feast for the eye and very promising for the rest of the season. Here at the Finlandia Trophy, we only get to see the Short pro­ grams, now we can’t wait to see the Free programs of these beautiful teams. But whether the season will be exciting or not remains up in the air for now. So far, it has brought quite a bit of sad news: no Olympic Synchronized Skating in Beijing 2022, no Cup of Berlin in January, the historical team Surprise disbanded just like that, and so on.
